The Storyteller
Roberta Orioma is the founder and Managing Director of The Clan Production Studios Ltd, a Lagos based production company. She is a creative producer, writer and actor, the creator and mind behind the TV series Grind, which launched globally on Amazon Prime Video in 2023, with its second season premiering in March 2025.
An alumna of the New York Film Academy, she wrote the Pan-African film Symphony, directed the short film Trainwreck, which premiered internationally at Nollywood Week Paris, and created Why We Never Were, winner of Best African Drama at the 2024 Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival. She also produced the sitcom Daddy Yo, aired across terrestrial TV in Nigeria.
Roberta leads the team at The Clan Production Studios, developing African stories for a global audience, with a slate of new projects currently in production.
