Meet Our Founder, Ms Roberta Orioma
Ms Roberta Orioma is the founder and Managing Director of The Clan Production Studios Ltd, a Lagos based production company. She is a creative Producer, writer and actor. She is the creator and brain behind the TV series, Grind, which launched globally on Amazon’s Prime Video in 2023, with its second season premiering on prime video in March, 2025. She is an alumni of the New York Film Academy where she studied filmmaking. She wrote the Pan-African film, Symphony, directed the short film Trainwreck which had its international premiere at the Nollywood Week in Paris. She is the creator and creative producer of the short film, Why We Never Were, which went on to win Best African Drama at the 2024 Toronto international Nollywood Film Festival. She produced the sitcom, Daddy Yo, which aired on terrestrial TV stations across Nigeria. Roberta leads the team at The Clan Production Studios, where they develop African stories for a global audience. Her and her team are currently working on a slate of projects that are in varying stages of production.
